Carol is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-1454) and certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) specialist (EMDR Institute), with an earned Master of Arts degree from Liberty University. Additional areas of expertise include Mindfulness Habits of Highly Effective Brains, Brain Gym, Emotional Reprocessing Therapy, and innovative Life Coaching through Personal Development.

Along with on-going private practice over the past 30 years, Carol served in a long-term capacity as clinical director and therapist of a residential treatment program for at-risk adolescents and their families. She coordinated the launching of and directed child placement agencies in South Carolina, Kentucky, and Colorado, transitional and independent living programs for young adults, and developed mentoring programs in Colorado and Georgia, teaching life skills, along with leadership training.

Carol’s international outreach includes equipping people for success in diverse regions of the world—Central and South America, Canada, the Caribbean, Russia, South Africa, along with numerous onsite locations in Europe. Based in Denver, she currently conducts motivational workshops aimed at life issues, such as Success Focused Living, Overcoming Habits of Worry and Obsession, Grief and Loss, Health, Healing and the Seven Habits of an Effective Brain. Carol is one of the founding directors of Life Focus, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based on the commitment to encourage individuals and couples to live ‘Above and Beyond!’

Married in 1972, Carol and Dr. Ray Meadors are parents of two married daughters, one adult son, along with six outstanding grandchildren. The Meadors’ reside in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by the incomparable Rocky Mountains.
