Dr. Meadors’ teaching from Psalm seventy-seven. Developments in this Psalm are presented in three parts.  (1) Preoccupation with Self.  (2) Questioning and Depression.  (3) Changed Perspective (Recovery).  The compelling message in this eBook is: As Self-centeredness/Preoccupation with Self (both of which are synonymous) emerges and replaces God-centeredness, a spiritual frame of reference is lost.  Shifting from God-centeredness to Self-centeredness results in an equation.  The equation is:  Preoccupation with Self = Disenchantment with God = Depression. This life-changing teaching helps the reader understand that Self-centeredness causes one to lose sight of who God is and if one loses sight of who God is, she/he also loses sight of who they are to become.  Ultimately, a changed perspective is witnessed in the Psalmist’s life and he is restored to the lofty place of heavenly presence and beyond.  This riveting account is not unlike what many Seekers encounter when allowing adversity and distress to initiate a disconnect from their inner spiritual core.
